Mosquitoes
Georgia has over 60 species of mosquitoes, each capable of either annoyance or the potential to carry diseases such as West Nile virus, various types of encephalitis, yellow fever, and dog heartworm.
Mosquitoes breed in almost any type of water in Georgia except for areas with swift currents and open water. That includes old tires, plastic tarps lying on the ground, clogged gutters, buckets, or even toys. An incredible number of mosquito larvae can develop in the amount of water you would find in an overturned bottle cap. With the large number of possible breeding areas, our inspection includes identifying these areas and, if possible, eliminating them. Identifying and eliminating breeding sites is the number one way to lessen mosquito pressure around your home.
