May 2023:  Held company gathering at The Brickery in Jackson to show appreciation for the hard working team we have.  Thanks everyone!

January 2023:  Jeffrey and Jonathan attended the Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) Winter Conference in Athens.

October 2022:  Management and techs attended the CPCO Fall Conference for continuing education hours.

September – October 2021:   Management and techs attended the CPCO Fall Conference for continuing education hours.

August 2021:   Barnes Lakeside Exterminating celebrated our 40th anniversary.

April 2021:   We welcomed new employee, Cade Grant, to work on termite jobs, fumigations and pest control.

January 2021:   Fred and Jeffrey attended the Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) Winter Conference virtually.

October – November 2020:   COVID-19 couldn’t stop our continuing education classes.  Over several weeks, CPCO provided online webinars that our management and techs attended.

May 2020:   We welcomed new employee, Jonathan Mitchell, to work on pest control, fumigations and termite jobs.

November 2019:   We have moved our office to downtown Jackson.

October 2018:   The Barnes Lakeside team hosted a booth at the Butts County Fall Festival in Jackson, GA.

March 2018:   We welcomed new employee, Amberly Lifsey, to work on pest control, termite jobs and fumigations.

December 2015:   Fred, Jeffrey, and Alec attended Bed Bug Boot Camp for an intensive training session on new and innovative ways to treat bed bugs

October 2015:   We welcomed two new employees, Tavoris Wilson and Bryan Perkovich, to work on termite, bed bug,  and pest control.  

September 2015:   We added a new full sized truck so more vehicles would be available to haul bed bug trailers.

June 2015:   Barnes was awarded Macon Telegraph's Best of the Best in two categories:  Best Exterminating Company and Best Pest Control Company.

January 2015:   Fred and Jeffrey attended the Georgia Pest Control Associations (GPCA) Winter Conference in Athens.

November 2014:   Management and techs attended Certified Pest Control Operators (CPCO) annual conference in Forsyth, GA for continuing education.

2014:   Purchased two new route trucks.

June 2014:   We welcomed new employee, Lamont Greenlee, who came to us with several years of pest control experience.

January 2014:   Fred and Jeffrey Folsom attended the Georgia Pest Control Association's (GPCA) Winter Conference in Athens, GA for continuing education.

June 2013:   We have moved our Jackson office to a new location.  Our new location is just off Hwy 36 near I-75. Payments can still be made at 195-D Four Points Road, Jackson, GA.

Spring 2012:   New ads highlighting our new offers for Spring to appear in the Spring edition of Macon Magazine!

February 2012:    The Barnes team is excited to welcome our newest employee, Sybrena Showers.

October 2011:   The Barnes team hosted a booth at the Jackson Alive! 2011 community festival in Jackson, GA.

September 2011:   The Barnes Exterminating team is proud to have participated in the 2011 GHRA Conference in Savannah, GA!  Our booth focused on Bed Bug Control and Treatment.  We shared simple tips on how to check for bed bugs and non-chemical treatment for bed bugs. 

August 2011:   Barnes Exterminating of Macon celebrated 30 years of serving Georgia.  We are proud to be able to provide an ever-expanding service line to meet the pest control needs of our community.

August 2011:   Congratulations!     Barnes Exterminating is proud to announce that our very own Fred Folsom is now an associate certified entomologist (ACE).  This certification is an incredible asset to the Barnes team and we take it very seriously.
